With this book he brings cybersecurity to the masses and offers simple solutions to small businesses and individuals to defend themselves. If you read this book the way it is supposed to be read, you will want to act on improving your own cyber identity/profile immediately. For me, I'm going to create some pretty awesome passwords!

This is a nice book but I prefer Barbara Sher's books "Refuse to choose" or "If I could do anything.." or "Wishcraft". This book focuses more on giving you a confidence boost on accepting your multi talents and it focuses on describing the types of ways you could schedule your productivity. But it doesn't go any further than that. I think Barbara Sher's book provided a more complete picture of a mulit potentalite and offered more specific ways on being productive. This book would make a great gift for a high school student or teen who has a lot of interests. But for an adult, I think it needs more content. If you already own books about having lots of interests, I don't think this would provide too much. It's a nice read, its light, its cute, but if you need help, real help, other books can give you a little more specifics.

HTBE has totally changed my life....I know that sounds cliche but it's true. Once I figured out that I was an Einstein, I went to work on a plan to structure my life that had been in disarray for two years. I even created elaborate mind maps based on the chapters of the book to guide me. All of this work brought me to where I am today (and explains why I have been missing from the forums lately). I am a historical researcher by degree which is a tough field to find stable jobs. However, I went back to work as a land abstractor which satisfies my need for work centered around history and research and I returned to some of my favorite hobbies like sewing, stained glass, and electronics. I am so much happier today than I was several months ago (not to mention, my income has improved :wink: ) Thank you so much for my new and improved life!!

I found this book to be an entertaining and engaging practical guide to living with multiple interests and talents successfully. I've read many books on the subject that were inspiring but didn't really give me useful tools to handle an over-abundance of interests, skills and ideas when most of society is geared towards the narrow specialist.There were immediately actionable items presented that I've already started working on and I feel like they're helping me reach my goals. The author's enthusiasm for her subject is one of the most positive framings of this idea that I've ever seen- after reading her book I don't feel like I have to be apologetic about who I am now, I truly feel that being an enthusiastic generalist is a positive factor in my life.And what I most enjoyed about the book was her repeated suggestions that there are more than one approach or solution to the dilemmas we face as multipotentialites. I'd read at least three books on the subject previously but this was my favorite because the other books presented blueprints for success that I felt were too narrow and fit me somewhat but not perfectly. Ms. Wapnick did an amazing job of providing practical guidance and empathy while making it clear that in real life, every person is an individual and will find a unique path.

I was introduced to the idea of being a "multipotentialite" and Emilie about 3 years ago by a mutual friend at a time in my life when I needed to hear this message most, as I was feeling a bit lost (or at the least "intentionally wandering") and wondering "what is wrong with me?" The answer (as Emilie so wonderfully explains in this book) is NOTHING! It was through Emilie's previous work (blog, TEDx Talk, personal chats, etc.) that I began to really understand who I am and WHY I do the things I do (to the contrary of the majority, much of the time). And just when I thought I understood everything there is to know about "multipotentiality" this book came along and helped me get to an ever deeper understanding and clarity for my life (see The Einstein Approach--I've tried the other approaches and they weren't for me). Just as with all books (ideas/concepts/approaches/etc.) this one isn't for everyone, but for those it resonates with it may be EVERYTHING. If you're insatiably curious (about seemingly everything), feel like you can't seem to choose, then don't worry, because you don't have to. But do choose this book to help you figure out the best approach for how you can start (continue) to be everything. And then as Emilie says towards the end of the book, “Experiment, iterate, and personalize all of this. It’s your career. It’s your life.”

This book is for every person who loves doing lots of different things, but has dealt with that tension oftrying to be a specialist. Chances are that you are what Emilie calls a Multipotentialite (also known as a Renaissance person/generalist/multi-pod, etc.)In this book there are some great tools for us multi-passionate people to thrive personally, professionally, and interpersonally. I highly recommend this book!

I discovered Emilie when I watched her TED talk a couple of years ago. I think this was my first introduction to the fact that there are people like me who are not wired to specialize in one subject, and to the *why*. It is not that we are "flighty" or any of those other adjectives. We are multipotentialites, or 'scanners'. We are interested in many different subjects, often all at the same time. This knowledge, and the ideas and discussions on Emilie's website Puttylike.com, have been a source of insight and a force for change for me personally.Emilie knows her subject very well. If you have struggled with how to deal with the pressures (internal or external) of thinking that you *have to* specialize and that this is the only way to be successful, I think you will find this book very enlightening and very useful.

I read "The King O' the Cats" to a group of children ranging in age from kindergarten through 5th grade. After hearing the story, all the children thought this was a good book to read to kids, but that it might be too scary for the younger ones. They all like cat stories and liked how the cats helped prove Peter's "stories" to be true. They thought it had to be something important to get the cats to talk to people, though.The illustrations lead to discussions on how the pictures were used to bring out the most important parts of the story, such as how the King of the cats stood out from the crowd as he was being crowned and thought it was interesting that the priest looked angry but spoke kindly to Peter.There was the one child who prefered books with non-talking cats, though.

It came damaged. Box was smashed and the binding cracked. Otherwise it was fine and an old favorite tale of mine.

Aunt Mary read _King o' the Cats_ to niece Robin, age 8, who really loves cats. She liked it all, especially the coronation scene. Robin is involved in Renaissance Faire activities and is attuned to the rituals of royalty. Aunt Mary liked the irony of Father Allen gaining a reputation for telling tall tales. Also, the illustrations were lovely, dark and appropriately spooky.

Our class really liked the book King O' the Cats. Kelly enjoyed the crowning of the cats, and all the cats going meow, meow. Mary enjoyed the details, which made her want to read more and more. Cheyenne liked how in the beginning Peter was making up stories, and at the end, the priest does the same things. Marissa feels that the book was "fantastic and funny." She especially liked when Tom jumped up and shouted "Then I'm the king o' the cats!" Diana enjoyed reading about Peter's shortcut. Shannon liked it when the cat hit his head! Alex B. liked the cats on the foxes chasing the dog. Brittany's favorite part was the cats in the church. Alex C. made a text-to-self connection, since he has cats, and he felt bad when his cat died. Daniel H. made a text-to-text connection-it reminded him of The Secret Shortcut. Destin also made a text-to-text connection, with The Boy Who Cried Wolf. (He also feels this book should get a medal!) This is a great and unusual series with exciting plot twists and likeable characters. I could hardly put it down. Sure hope the series continues!

This story has everything the first book had, and more! The adventure keeps you rooted to your seat, and the characters continue to develop and grow. I love reading this series, and already can't wait for the next one!

I fit within the target demographic audience for this book other than being to old. Nerdy, shy and introspective. The world is neat with potentially interesting magic systems. I feel the politics could grow interesting. It's flexible enough the author can keep thing interesting. It also has a lot of room to grow.The main character is supposed to help the reader invest them selves in the story, I believe. The problem he is SOOOO bland. He responds to EVERYTHING by blushing and acting shy. Maybe once or twice expressing himself in a different way. Everyone around him has a personality but the MC himself, nuthin.There were MANY example of truths just being dropped on the reader with no build up in both books. Rules of magic and character developments. These kept happening with no hints, no buildup. Just suddenly WHAM! important plot rule shows up.The romance in the book is really weak, it was supposed to come across as cute or heart warming i think, but I couldn't care much less about it. Build up and execution.... bland.I like the authors writing style but it can't over shadow the weak characters. Quick read also helps. I do think this at least come close to the wish fulfilment genre, at least with relationships. I just wish the MC felt less like a blank slate with god powers you know will only increase. He will also alawys be surrounded by emotional support that is so one sided....

I thought this was a really good sequel to a great self published book I read late last year. We get more world building, more insight into the unique magic system, and a ridiculous amount of dragons. This book was longer than the last one, and I thought it fleshed out the story nicely. The first book was an introduction to the world and magic system, while this one was more plot heavy, but still gave us a lot of background information we didn't have before.I had already liked the main characters, but it's fun to see them growing up a little and coming into their powers. There was some good action here, especially with Alustin showing off his particular brand of magic finally. I liked seeing the way the magic is put to use by people with different affinities and atunements. There are endless combinations, and the author is very creative with them, so I look forward to seeing more.Another thing I've come to really like about this series is the way magical creatures are portrayed. It's got a lot of creature's you would expect to see from mythology or a D&D type setting. The thing I like is that they feel very human. Magical creatures can use magic in the same way that humans do, can have wealth, and they can even rule a city populated by humans and other magical creatures. They still have their typical traits and/or powers, but it's in a more down to earth way that I found refreshing.Overall, another fun and light book perfect for a younger audience, or someone who wants a nice palate cleanser after something dark and heavy. I got lucky that I read the first one just a couple months before the second one was going to be released, but now I have a bit of a wait on my hands. I don't mind, because they were quick reads and the author didn't take too long between the two books.

I read book 1 and this book back to back over the course of maybe 3-4 days. Sometimes I find binge reading a series makes quirks/flaws stand out more. But in this case, it was a smooth transition between book 1 & 2. And I found the new settings and worldbuilding highly, highly intriguing. The powers of our main characters grew in exciting ways and the political intrigue added a nice layer to things (without being too convoluted). The action scenes were also more intense and suspenseful, and I stayed up all night to finish the story. I'm very happy to have found this series and will read book 3 as soon as it's released.

Honestly 9.5/10. I took off .5 because of some spelling errors and awkward phrasing (because I’m a somewhat harsh critic over little things that bug me), but the story was awesome. The first book was great, and this one was better. You can really feel the author coming into his own and polishing the story and characters more. Some of the twists are a bit cliche, but used well so it doesn’t make the story feel stale. I like how the universe was expanded by this, the continued character development that progresses at a natural rate, and some of the breadcrumbs that I think could be used in the future of the series to make a truly fantastic set of books.I read this in a couple of days, and this story is one of the first I’ve read in while that makes me want to reread it slowly to really take every nuance of the author’s work. I probably won’t do this because I have a bunch of other books to read, but if I have a chance I probably will.

I just discovered the first book last week and was delighted to learn the next book was already published. I read this quickly and thought even better than the first. There's nothing like a good coming of age story with magic and now dragons. I especially like that there's suspense and mystery, but it's not all doom and gloom. I greatly look forward to the next book in the series. I hope it's not the typical 3-book series and the author will extend it further. I see a lot of possibilities in ancillary series as well.

This is a well-written book that deserves 5 stars, but I can't give it 5 stars because the publisher didn't properly format it for Kindle. One of the key sections of the book is a list of recipes. None of them were entered/formatted properly by the publisher so the ingredient lists overlap the instructions. I'm disappointed Amazon let this slip through the cracks.

When I first switched to eating plant-based, the first edition of this book was my go-to guide on how to eat. My life has completely changed since I switched to plant-based, and I owe a lot of it to that first edition (I lost 60 lbs. after switching and have been able to keep it off). I ordered the second edition of the book not expecting there to be too much that has changed, but because it has been so impactful on my life, I knew I needed to get it. I am blown away by how more content is in this book. Julieanna and Ray put a lot of time and effort into revising and editing this edition. It’s shocking how much more evidence is out there now about how eating plant-based is the best way to expand your lifespan versus ten years ago.Julieanna and Ray have done an excellent job of giving everyone the research while keeping it simple enough that even I could read and understand it. This book completely revolutionized the way I look it food. Their information on metabolism, oxidative priority, and maximizing health span are fascinating. They broke the book up into four sections. The first part gives all the evidence as to why it is better to eat a whole food, plant-based diet. The second part discusses how to live a plant-based life. The third section focuses on how children, athletes, the elderly should eat. There’s also information about losing weight. And the last section gives great tips for eating out, what you should stock your pantry with, and a whole bunch of recipes.The part of the book that really blew my mind was how they brought to light our misconceptions about the macronutrients: proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. We often think of certain foods as being protein (beef) and others as carbs (white potatoes). But if you eat the same number of calories of white potatoes as 90% lean beef, you actually get a higher amino acid profile from the white potatoes. There are several things that I appreciate about Hever's and Cronise's book:1) It's written for every body. In other words, most literate people will be able to read and understand the concepts presented. This is pretty cool, because nutrition is confusing and even though I'm not an idiot, the science of what I need to eat is clearly explained to me.2) It's non-judgmental. I'm a clinical hypnotherapist, so I understand what happens when people are told that they are overweight because they are gluttonous sloths. This book presents the information in a palatable way that releases folk from guilt while inciting them toward taking responsibility for their own health.3) Even for someone who has been studying and practicing (mostly) a plant-based regimen, I learned new stuff! I love learning new stuff, especially when it is based on science sources that I can trust.This book is joining my list of must-read resources for my clients who struggle with weight and nutrition issues. This book is easy to read and digest, and offers a lot of helpful mnemonics to refer to while conducting a psychiatric interview or in any other situation where one might need to ask relevant questions and make a differential diagnosis without actually referring to the DSM. I am only about 50 pages into the book and already I have come across sections that have helped clarify concepts that have confused me in the past despite asking questions of colleagues and reviewing other texts (e.g. how to differentiate schizoaffective disorder from a mood disorder, say depression or bipolar disorder, with psychotic features). I am a PMHNP student in the last year of a DNP program, and would recommend this to others in a similar position, providers in other specialties who want to know more about psychiatry, or anyone else with a genuine interest in understanding psychiatric interviewing and diagnosis better. I wish that I had found and read this book prior to some of my earlier coursework where I was evaluated on my ability to interview and diagnose, because I think it would have helped.

I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner student, and after reading the author's previous pharmacology book, I had to get this one. This book just makes total sense and brings light to a subject that can be very confusing. The only thing that I would tell the author is that there are so many typos in the book that I wonder if it somebody proofread this ... Maybe I am a perfectionist (not OCD), but it bothers me a bit ... LOL

Im in school of PMHNP school now and im using this as a way to bring all the information together that im learning in school.its very helpful to break things down.

I am excited that the book is now available on Kindle! Unfortunately, many of the pictures in the Kindle edition appear to be incorrectly sized and are chopped up over multiple pages? Maybe Amazon can fix the pictures.

Very interesting and informative, keeps me wanting to read more and more and has a bunch of ways to memorize things.
