This author does not hold back,very enlightening on the daily struggles of a new amputee who shares his first-hand knowledge of questions and struggles that a person will experience with limb loss .I also found it to be uplifting to someone like myself with other health issues effecting the body.
I am not a direct victim of limb loss. I have a family member who has experienced this dreadful outcome and in ways, I feel like it has happened to me as well. Reading this book has given me an insight into what he was and is experiencing without him having to find the words himself. My eyes are opened to his true pain inside and out and for that I am greatly appreciative. I now feel like my family can move forward with confidence and assurance that we are all on the same page. Our road to recovery is now clear and I can praise God for an open and honest book. This book is very informative. I hope and pray that all people who have experienced amputation in some way can have a source of information like this book was for me. In some ways, this book provided stability and guidance that you just can't find on your own. Many praises for this book and what it has done for our family!
This was a very thorough and thoughtful book. He spoke from the heart and let you into the personal and "real" side of life after limb loss. I felt like I was walking beside him on his journey. I laughed, cheered, and cried through the pages as I read. Although I have never personally lived through a limb loss I have watched a friend struggle through a limb loss. I only wish this book had been around when she needed it. I highly recommend this book as a guide for a family or friend who may be facing or has faced a recent limb loss. Very valuable information. Well written. Thank you for sharing your story with others.
