I have struggled most of my 67 years with eating disorders. Restrictive eating was a way of life that damaged me in every way. Binge eating was the counterpoint. I yo-yoed between the two for decades, occasionally entering remission but never true recovery. After reading Kayla's book I can understand why. I've read lots of diet books over the years with lots of information, but this book reveals the "powers that be" behind the bombardment of "do this, don't do that" self-help books. It gets to the roots of the problem, regardless whether that is binge eating, bulimia, anorexia, or the other eating disorders that exist. Although this book takes no particular spiritual stance, being a Christian I could see several places in it that correlate with Bible passages, which I found helpful. Someone not of that persuasion could read it and no doubt find it agrees with other beliefs as well. I look forward to sharing this book with my ED therapist and nutritionist and applying it to my own life struggle. Truly recovery is a process and a journey, and I appreciate every tool that helps me get further along.

Enjoyed this book very much! It gave some personal and intuitive information on what represents a truly healthy diet and exercise life style that denies the media cliches and health guru dictates that frequently seem to generate more harm than good in the common person’s quest for carefree and healthful living. A heartening good read based on the personal experience and struggle in overcoming multiple eating disorders and regimens by the author.

This book has given me the inspiration to keep fighting through the hard parts of recovery and the information to know why they occur.Kayla hasn't written a thousand page scientific essay. She's written an easy-to-understand guide that I can really relate to.This book alone is not a remedy for restrictive eating disorders, but alongside a treatment plan it makes a powerful tool.

I read a lot of diet recovery box, but I really love the way this one full load. It wasn't to Tochi and it wasn't too technical, for me it hit just right. I'm much further along on my journey but the book was a wonderful reminder of staying on the right path. I recommend it to anyone who's ready to recover.

I love how she writes all the questions and experiences that I cannot admit to others. She is so honest, opening up readers to a realm of possibilities. She has been where so many are, making for a raw connection with her readers. She encourages through powerful words and stories that resonate within you.Kayla,Thank you. This is a very deep and detailed read. I was able to resignate I. Such a real level and I truly felt a connection with Kayla. It was easy to understand how she was feeling and relate on so many levels. One of those stories it's really hard to put down. I walk away feeling confident and inspired In the hopefulness of healing.

I've been in recovery for a little over a year now and am still struggling with some of the healing process! I decided to get the book per Kayla's recommendation and i read it in a day. It provided a lot of insight into some of the problems i've been dealing with. Highly recommend.

This book gave me the confidence I need to finally battle my restrictive eating and experience true freedom. It is a battle that is so worth it. This book was simple yet profound. Would highly recommend to anyone in th fitnesss/competitive world.
