Story about the life of a biker from growing up to association with Mongols MC and then incarceration and nonassociation probation. Was a good story. Written in the first person. Was conversational. Like you were sitting in some biker bar having beers while this guy told you his life story. Lots of pictures. Lots of swearing. Meth. Etc. Poor editing but I was able to get over it. It gave the story a raw finish, like this guy just 1 finger typed it up on his computer and sent it to the publisher. 4 stars because I would have liked to hear some more gory details of ass kickings with brass knuckles and crimes. I feel like he left a lot of the real dirty details to protect himself and the club. Understandable. He had a section where he refutes parts of Billy Queens book Under and Alone which I got a kick out of. Made it sound like Billy Queen put in some literary embellishment on his part. Probably won't read Under and Alone now which is funny. I liked it. I liked LuCifer. Was pretty candid overall.
This book will give the reader an honest and "real" view of what life is like living the life as member of a one percent outlaw motorcycle club. The author provides the realities and pitfalls of being a member of the notorious Mongols M.C. club.The grammatical errors, and or punctuation is maybe not up to the "standards" of many who are avid readers, however please know up front the author offers a disclaimer as to him writing, and proof reading of this book all on his own. So if the reader does not stand in judgement of the grammatical or punctual errors, and accepts this story for the straight forward facts based on his living the life, and walking the "walk" you will thoroughly enjoy this book.I recommend this read to any and all who are looking for a true assessment of life as a one percent outlaw biker.
A good companion to Billy Queen's "Under and Alone". Queen paints a sour picture of the Mongols. Lu-Cifer overly and unrealistically glamorizes them. The truth is between the two somewhere. The level of partying portrayed by Lu-Cifer gets incredible after a while. And what the hell do the guys do for work anyway?The book is in a conversational tone, but really should have been co-written with someone. Get it if you enjoy biker stories and can get past the many issues of continuity, typos, and need of proofreading.
This was an interesting read for me. As others reviewers have stated, it hasn`t been read by a team of editors and there are mistakes. This doesn't bother me. It has a more genuine feel when reading it. He writes it just like you'd hear it if you were standing around talking to him and JoMissJo. Don't expect a lot of secrets and violence. Nothing here that would jeopardize the club or its members that I can remember. It's a peek into his life as opposed to a tell all. A nice look into the Brotherhood by a genuine member.
Great read. I have read many outlaw biker books written by members of many different clubs. If these clubs could get beyond their internal conflicts and conflicts with each other and combined resources the would be stronger than our military. Great book about brotherhood and living the life.
A punk joins a gang. Now he's a tough guy. Fake tough guy doesn't even prospect lol. Fake tough guy goes to jail. Cops are THE bad guys. Blah blah blah. What a dork.
Entertaining to say the least.If you read all the other books about the Mongols it is another voice heard first hand.Writing style was very entertaining.
Likes: The overall content was good. More than anything I did like the depiction of a brotherhood among the MC. I also enjoyed the aspects that Lu-CiFER and his Mongol brothers were able to hang out and party with other MCs. This moves more into what a brotherhood of bikers should be.Dislikes: I'm not an English Major but the editor should have run the book through a spell/grammatical check.
