I use to have some issues with my anger but I needed something more, This book teaches you why you think the way you do about angry situations and how to deal with your anger and also includes steps to that process
This book helped me at a time of crisis in my life. Reading it gave me the tools I needed to let go of my anger. It's a little brunt and brutal - super realistic. I needed that to let go of the crap that I had no control over.
As a counselor, I believe this book could be helpful to many. This book is best suited for those who have a solid understanding of REBT theory.
A little hard to follow but has a great deal of very useful information. There seems to be a lot of filler fluff but I still would recommend it to anyone looking to help control their anger.
This book is hard to get through, but my husband and I are slowly working our way through it and understand it.
It's nice but doesn't feel solid. There are a lot of good ideas in there. Great insights, but some are just wishful thinking. Some arguments are plain offensive to the reader's intelligence, though some are quite ingenious. Some are forceful. Good, but not very.I'm searching for ideas to treat my angry patients and didn't find many here.
This type of self help can be used in all areas of our lives. It helped me take control of how I feel and how I express my feeling. If you get angry or depressed, these these techniques will help.
It has a lot of good stuff you can use. I used it with teenagers in counseling. Obviously it is REBT, so you have to be at least CBT to appreciate it. Personally, I love Ellis, I have studied at his institute, and always find his teaching incredibly useful.
